This historic achievement surpassed previous young talents including Justin Thomas (65 at age 16 in 2009), Tony Finau (65 at age 17 in 2007), and Ty Tryon (65 at age 17 in 2001).

Brown's success came from both his mature mindset and exceptional putting skills. During post-round interviews, he emphasized the importance of maintaining perspective: "I play golf right now for a living, and I promise you, there are a lot more challenging things than playing golf for a living. Whether it's a kid lying in a bed in cancer, there's a lot to be grateful for out here."

His putting performance was particularly notable during the back nine, where he made three consecutive birdies. Brown describes putting as an art form: "I'm not an artist, but I'm an artist on the putting green. It's the most precise you got to be playing golf, and I just love to putt."

Currently sitting at T41 with 8-under, Brown looks to make the third-round cut on Saturday, building on his record-breaking performance.
