20-Year-Old LIV Golf Prodigy Caleb Surratt: "I'm Just As Good As Other Young Stars Despite Less Recognition"
Caleb Surratt, a 20-year-old rising star on the LIV Golf circuit, is proving himself as one of golf's brightest young talents despite receiving less publicity than his peers. After joining Jon Rahm's Legion XIII team during his sophomore year at the University of Tennessee, Surratt has shown remarkable potential in his rookie season.
As a college player, Surratt won the SEC Championship by six strokes, became SEC Freshman of the Year, and made history as Tennessee's first First Team All-American. His collegiate success included setting the program's lowest single-season stroke average and contributing to a US Walker Cup victory.

In his first professional season, Surratt demonstrated his capabilities with two runner-up finishes on the Asian Tour, including the Saudi International, along with a third-place finish. He also secured four top-20 finishes in LIV events, with his best result being T12.

His Walker Cup performance was particularly impressive, winning 3 out of 4 matches during the USA's 14.5-11.5 victory at St Andrews.

Looking ahead to 2025, Surratt has set ambitious goals: winning twice and breaking into the world's top 100 to qualify for the PGA Championship in his hometown of Charlotte. While he can only earn World Ranking points through the Asian Tour, he maintains a pragmatic approach to Major qualification, planning to compete in both US Open and The Open qualifying events.

Surratt draws inspiration from fellow young professional David Puig, who has successfully navigated from college golf to LIV Golf while securing Major championship appearances and Olympic qualification.
