Alejandro Tosti Makes Hole-In-One at TPC Sawgrass' Iconic 17th, Celebrates With Lake Dive
During a practice round for The Players Championship, Alejandro Tosti made headlines with a spectacular hole-in-one on TPC Sawgrass's iconic 17th hole, followed by an unforgettable celebration where he jumped into the surrounding lake.
The Argentinian PGA Tour pro, currently ranked 200th in the world, will make his Players Championship debut this week. His perfect wedge shot landed just beyond the pin before rolling back into the cup, leading to jubilant scenes as he was helped into the water by a team member.
Remarkably, Tosti wasn't the only one to ace the 17th that day. Collin Morikawa's caddie JJ Jakovac also achieved the feat during the annual Wednesday caddie competition, where caddies compete in a nearest-to-the-pin contest.
The day's drama continued during the Creator Classic, where Barstool Sports' Trent Ryan struggled with the hole, finding the water four times en route to an 11. The event concluded with Grant Horvat winning a playoff against George Bryan and No Laying Up's Soly, securing victory with a clutch birdie putt on the 17th.
