Anthony Kim Surges 2,200+ Spots in World Golf Rankings After First Points in 12-Year Hiatus
Anthony Kim rose over 2,200 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) after finishing T37th at the Asian Tour's International Series Qatar. This marks his first OWGR points earned in 12 years.

Kim shot rounds of 71-72-73-71 to make his first cut since 2012, finishing alongside LIV Golf colleagues Jinichiro Kozuma and Matt Jones. The performance earned him $14,500 and 0.36805 OWGR points, moving him from 4,595th to 2,314th in the rankings.

Despite struggling in his 11 LIV Golf events this season without scoring a single point, Kim remains confident about his future prospects. "I know a lot of people have probably seen my last year and don't think that's possible [contending on Sundays], but I think it's going to happen. I 100% believe in myself," Kim told Gulf News.
The 39-year-old's next appearance will be at the PIF Saudi International (December 4-7), where he'll compete against 43 other LIV golfers for a share of the $5 million prize purse. His recent improvement, including a season-best 36th place at LIV Golf Greenbrier in August, suggests continued progress in his comeback to competitive golf.
