Billy Horschel produced a remarkable left-handed shot at the Valspar Championship's final round, leading to what many consider the birdie of the year at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course.

Facing a challenging situation on the par-5 fifth hole, Horschel found himself 127 yards from the green with a tree blocking his natural right-handed stance. Rather than laying up, he chose an unconventional approach - hitting the ball left-handed using the back of his club face.

The shot was executed perfectly, landing on the green and leaving him with a 31-foot birdie putt. Demonstrating his renewed confidence, Horschel then sank the lengthy putt to move to six-under par and into strong contention.

This spectacular play showcases Horschel's return to form, following a challenging 2023 season. His recent success includes a T2 finish at The Open and victory over Rory McIlroy in a playoff at the BMW PGA Championship.

While Cam Davis's tree root escape at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am provides competition for shot of the year, Horschel's left-handed birdie will undoubtedly feature prominently in the 2025 PGA Tour season highlights.
