Brooks Koepka Makes Peace With Rival DeChambeau: 'I Was Wrong About Him'
Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau have officially put their famous rivalry behind them, with Koepka now openly admitting he was wrong about his former adversary.
The duo's relationship has evolved significantly since their notorious feud, which peaked when Koepka rolled his eyes at DeChambeau during a 2021 PGA Championship interview. Now teammates at LIV Golf, they're set to compete together against PGA Tour's Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy in The Crypto.com Showdown in Las Vegas.

"Look, we all get older, we all mature a little bit, and then you realize, hey, Bryson's a good dude," Koepka said. "I think he's severely misunderstood and I think the world is actually starting to really see who Bryson DeChambeau is, which is cool. I'm the first person to admit it, I was wrong with my original thoughts."
Their improved relationship can be attributed to increased interaction after both joined LIV Golf. Koepka acknowledged that this move facilitated more open communication between them, despite his self-admitted stubborn nature.

DeChambeau, who recently won his second Major at the US Open, reciprocated the sentiment: "I've always had respect for Brooks and what he's done. Obviously, early on, we didn't really understand each other. Pretty rocky relationship. We had our spats. But we realized when we both went to LIV we had quite a few things in common. Kind of like stepbrothers in a sense."
The pair will put their newfound camaraderie to the test at Shadow Creek during The Showdown, where they'll face favorites McIlroy and Scheffler representing the PGA Tour.
