LIV golfer Brooks Koepka has addressed rumors about a potential PGA Tour return following Fred Couples' recent comments suggesting Koepka "wants to come back" to the Tour.

The speculation began when Couples, speaking on Seattle's KJR FM, claimed he regularly talks with Koepka and believed the multiple-time major winner wanted to return to the PGA Tour. This led to online controversy, including a now-deleted criticism from Phil Mickelson calling Couples "a low-class jerk."

When asked about these claims during LIV Golf Singapore's pre-event press conference, Koepka clarified:

"Fred texted me after the comments came out. Everybody seems to have their own opinion and no one asks me. I've got a contract obligation out here to fulfill, and then we'll see what happens. I don't know where I'm going, so I don't know how everybody else does."

Currently, PGA Tour rules prevent any player who has competed in a LIV event within the past 12 months from participating in Tour-sanctioned events. However, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan indicated that future restructuring could potentially allow LIV pros to occasionally compete on the Tour, provided it doesn't "diminish" their product.

Monahan stated: "As part of our negotiations, we believe there's room to integrate important aspects of LIV Golf into the PGA Tour platform. We're doing everything that we can to bring the two sides together."

The exact length of Koepka's LIV contract remains unconfirmed, though it's known that fellow LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau's deal extends through 2026.
