Bryson DeChambeau's New LA Golf Driver Claims To Fix Your Slice With Custom Face Technology
LA Golf's latest driver, co-designed with Bryson DeChambeau, introduces innovative Face ID Technology that customizes face curvature based on swing speed to reduce side spin and straighten mishits.
The driver features a patented fitting system that matches both club face curvature and shaft to individual swing speeds. LA Golf claims this technology can cut side spin by almost half on toe and heel strikes, effectively turning slices into fades and hooks into draws.
Five head models are available based on swing speed ranges:
- 13-12 (below 90 mph)
- 12-11 (90-109 mph)
- 10-10 (110-124 mph)
- 9-9 (125-134 mph)
- 8-7 (135+ mph)

The driver comes standard with premium A Series shafts, though a Bryson series shaft is available for an additional $150. An online fitting quiz helps determine the optimal shaft and face curvature combination based on factors like flight preference, swing speed, and tempo.

This design builds on DeChambeau's research into face curvature effects, which led to his successful use of curved-faced Avoda irons. The technology has been extensively tested, with DeChambeau using various prototypes over the past year.
