Ortiz credited his success to excellent driving accuracy throughout the week: "I did a good job of putting the ball in play, which is important on this golf course. I drove it really well and took advantage of the par fives and short par fours."
The tournament, part of the Open Qualifying Series, offered three spots for Royal Portrush. All three qualifying positions were claimed by LIV Golf players:
