Charlie Woods and Kai Trump Set to Face World's Elite at Junior Invitational Tournament

Charlie Woods and Kai Trump will be playing in the prestigious Junior Invitational tournament at Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville, South Carolina, from March 19-22, according to Golf Channel's Brentley Romine.

The tournament features 36 of the highest-ranked boys and 24 highest-ranked girls in the world. Charlie Woods, son of Tiger Woods, currently ranks 714th in the Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings and 1,022nd in the American Junior Golf Association standings. Kai Trump, granddaughter of Donald Trump and recent TaylorMade endorsee, ranks 2,346th on the Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Charlie Woods has previously competed alongside his father in the PNC Championship for the past five years, securing two runner-up finishes. During the last edition, he scored his first hole-in-one on the par-3 fourth hole.

Kai Trump has recently committed to the University of Miami and was seen playing with Rory McIlroy in the Genesis Invitational pro-am.

Notable participants in the boys' event include Miles Russell, the youngest player to make a cut on the Korn Ferry Tour, and Kartik Singh, who made the cut at the International Series India event. The girls' tournament features defending champion Asterisk Talley and World Amateur No.10 Soomin Oh.

Past winners of this prestigious event include current World No.1 Scottie Scheffler (2014), PGA Tour players Akshay Bhatia, Austin Eckroat, and Aldrich Potgieter, as well as LIV Golf's Joaquin Niemann, Tom McKibbin, and Caleb Surratt. In the girls' division, Augusta National Women's Amateur winner Anna Davis won in 2023, while Ladies European Tour player Amalie Leth-Nissen claimed victory in the inaugural event in 2022.
