Former World No. 1 Amateur Outduels DeChambeau to Win International Series India in Stunning Comeback
Ollie Schniederjans, former World No. 1 amateur, secured his first victory in nine years at the International Series India event, defeating Bryson DeChambeau and other notable players at DLF Golf and Country Club in New Delhi.

After dominating amateur golf and spending 41 weeks as world No. 1 in 2014-15 while at Georgia Tech, Schniederjans' promising career was derailed by injuries. His deteriorating hip condition ultimately led to double hip replacement surgery in 2022.
Making his comeback in March 2023, Schniederjans earned his way through LIV Golf's Promotions event, securing spots in the Asian Tour's International Series and LIV Golf as a reserve.
The 31-year-old capitalized on this opportunity, finishing at 10-under par, four shots ahead of DeChambeau. His impressive performance included a crucial chip-in birdie from difficult rough that extended his lead to six shots during the final round.
"This golf course is very challenging, and back in the day, I would have had a hard time out here," Schniederjans reflected. "My game is a lot better than it ever was. This was proof this week."
DeChambeau, while disappointed with his own performance, praised Schniederjans: "Ollie is a great, incredible golfer. He beat my butt in college numerous times. He's a well-deserved champion."
Only four players finished under par in the tournament, highlighting the significance of Schniederjans' comeback victory and suggesting a promising future for the rejuvenated golfer.
