Gary Williams Makes Golf Channel Return as Host of New Morning Show '5 Clubs'
Gary Williams returns to Golf Channel as host and executive producer of the new morning show "5 Clubs," airing Monday through Wednesday mornings. The show, which previously existed on YouTube and SiriusXM, marks Williams' return to the network after departing in 2020 from his role hosting Morning Drive.

The arrangement represents a growing trend of networks purchasing turnkey production assets, similar to ESPN's deal with Pat McAfee, though on a smaller scale. Golf Channel EVP of Programming Tom Knapp initiated the partnership shortly after the 2024 Masters.
While Williams serves as executive producer, he emphasizes collaboration with Golf Channel's team, particularly Knapp and executive producer Matt Hegarty, to shape the show's content and direction. The program will be produced off-site from Golf Channel's Stamford headquarters.
This partnership brings Williams full circle, returning him to morning programming at Golf Channel, where he'll continue delivering golf news and insights to viewers of the dedicated sports network.
The show represents both a continuation of Williams' established morning show format and an evolution in Golf Channel's programming strategy, combining familiar elements with new production approaches.
