Greg Norman, former LIV Golf CEO, has joined the organizing committee for the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane, Australia. The 69-year-old Queensland native will help shape the Games in his home state, including the Olympic golf tournament at Royal Queensland Golf Club - where he previously worked in his youth.

Norman shared his enthusiasm on Instagram, calling it an "honor and privilege" to help shape the Brisbane Games. The announcement coincided with his receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Australian Embassy in Washington.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese selected Norman for the 24-person committee following a senior politician's retirement. Sports Minister Anika Wells praised Norman's appointment, citing his "40 years of global sporting experience and business acumen" and his status as a symbol of Australian sporting success.

Norman recently stepped down as LIV Golf CEO ahead of its fourth season, being replaced by Scott O'Neil. This transition allows him to dedicate more time to his role in shaping Australia's third Olympic Games.

The two-time Open Championship winner's involvement brings valuable experience to the committee, particularly for the golf events planned at Royal Queensland Golf Club, connecting his past with Queensland golf to the future of the Olympics in Brisbane.
