Jordan Spieth is making his tournament debut at the Cognizant Classic at PGA National, entering the field late on Friday. This marks his first appearance at the event in his 12-year professional career.

The three-time Major winner is continuing his comeback from wrist surgery performed in August 2024. Spieth has shown promising form in 2025, finishing T4 at the WM Phoenix Open with consistent rounds of 68-65-67-68, though he missed the cut at the Genesis Invitational.

The Cognizant Classic field features 16 players from the world's top 50, including Russell Henley (#17), Sepp Straka, Shane Lowry, Billy Horschel, Rickie Fowler, Daniel Berger, Gary Woodland, and Sungjae Im. Notable absence includes former champion Rory McIlroy.

Currently ranked 67th in the world, Spieth's last PGA Tour victory came at the 2022 RBC Heritage. His late entry has moved Karl Vilips, recently announced as Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red brand's first ambassador, to first alternate position.

The tournament will be played at PGA National, historically one of the most challenging courses on the PGA Tour schedule. This marks Spieth's fourth start of the 2025 season as he continues his return to competitive golf.
