Jordan Spieth reveals he's made significant swing adjustments following his August wrist surgery, focusing primarily on correcting his hand path during the backswing. This change aims to improve his wedge game, which has declined since his peak performance in 2017.

The key modification involves reverting to a steeper club position with deeper hand travel during the backswing, contrasting with his recent tendency toward higher hands that dragged longer. While this adjustment feels substantial to Spieth, he notes it might appear subtle to observers.

The change addresses issues stemming from a 2018 wrist injury that forced him to adapt his naturally weak grip. Data shows Spieth's approach play has declined significantly since 2017, when he gained 1.14 strokes on approach compared to -0.07 in 2023.

Now fully recovered, Spieth approaches the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with measured expectations. His focus is on consistency and rebuilding confidence in his swing mechanics rather than immediate results.

"Results are results," Spieth explained. "Just being consistent, just stepping up and knowing I'm going to start the ball right there... Just a lot less guessing, more confidence in what I'm doing, and sticking to it is really what I'm looking forward to."

With his wrist fully healed and swing changes implemented, Spieth aims to use the next three weeks as a foundation for returning to top form, emphasizing patience and proper technique over immediate tournament success.
