Thomas secured $918,000 for his runner-up finish, finishing two shots behind winner Sepp Straka. The 31-year-old American shot rounds of 67, 64, 68, and 66 at the event.

His most successful season came in 2017, when he won five PGA Tour titles, including his first Major at the PGA Championship. That year, Thomas reached World No.1 and won the FedEx Cup championship with its $10 million prize.

After a challenging 2023 season where he finished outside the FedEx Cup top 125 for the first time, Thomas has regained his form in 2024 with six top 10 finishes and $5.2 million in prize money. He has already earned $1.1 million in just two tournaments in 2025.

Thomas will next compete in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the PGA Tour's second Signature Event of the year, which offers a $20 million purse and begins on January 30th.

The two-time Major winner remains focused on improving his game, particularly his wedge play, as he aims to continue his strong form through what he describes as an upcoming "big stretch" of tournaments.
