LIV Golf Riyadh will make history as the first tournament in the circuit's alliance with Fox Sports by hosting its opening event under floodlights in February 2025.

The event at Riyadh Golf Club will feature post-sunset tee times to better accommodate US television viewers. Round one and two will begin at 6:15pm local time (10:15am ET/3:15pm GMT), with the final round starting slightly earlier at 6:05pm local time on February 8.

This strategic scheduling avoids overlap with both the PGA Tour's WM Phoenix Open and the DP World Tour's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. The ultra-powerful lighting system at Riyadh Golf Club's championship course makes night golf possible, following a growing trend in professional golf.

Night golf has gained popularity over the past decade, with notable events including The Match featuring Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka at Shadow Creek, and the Ladies European Tour's Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic (2019-2021).

The tournament marks an important milestone as LIV Golf's first event under its new Fox Sports television deal, demonstrating the circuit's commitment to growing its US audience while maintaining competitive scheduling.
