LPGA star Charley Hull has placed a substantial $10,000 bet against fellow pro Ryan Evans that she will quit smoking cigarettes for at least two months. The announcement came via Hull's Instagram, where she documented handing over her cigarettes to Evans.

The English golfer's smoking habit first gained attention during the 2023 U.S. Women's Open when a video of her smoking while signing autographs went viral. Hull explained she had initially started smoking to quit vaping, noting that smoking forced her to go outside rather than vaping indoors continuously.

Hull, currently ranked No. 10 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, has been open about smoking on the golf course, though she abstained during the 2024 Paris Olympics due to venue restrictions.

The terms of the bet are straightforward: if Hull smokes even one cigarette within the next two months, she owes Evans £10,000 (approximately $13,000 USD). If successful, she receives no monetary reward but benefits from improved health.

The wager comes during a strong start to Hull's 2025 LPGA season, where she's already secured a T19 and T4 finish in her first two events.
