Nelly Korda's Historic 2024: Seven Wins Highlight Dominant Season Despite Mid-Year Struggles
Nelly Korda dominated women's golf in 2024 with an extraordinary season that included seven LPGA Tour victories, one major championship, and eleven top-10 finishes. Her performance earned her Player of the Year honors and established the largest ranking gap between World No. 1 and No. 2 since rankings began.

Despite her overall success, Korda's season had notable challenges. She experienced a mid-season slump, including a disastrous U.S. Women's Open where she made a 10 on her third hole and missed the cut. She followed this with another missed cut and a career-worst 81 at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
Off the course, Korda broke new ground by becoming the first golfer since Tiger Woods to attend the Met Gala. Her growing mainstream appeal helped her become the eighth-highest-paid female athlete globally in 2024.
After struggling with a neck injury during the Asian swing, Korda finished the season strong by winning at the Annika tournament in Tampa. This victory, her seventh of the year, marked the most wins in a single LPGA season since Yani Tseng in 2011.
"Never in a million years would I have thought last year, 365 days ago, I would be here with seven wins in one season and another major championship," Korda reflected at the LPGA Tour Championship, expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming season.
Her remarkable bounce-back from mid-season difficulties and consistent excellence throughout most of the year demonstrated both her resilience and dominance in women's golf, setting high expectations for 2025.
