Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red apparel brand has signed PGA Tour rookie Karl Vilips as its first brand ambassador. Vilips, a 23-year-old Australian, shares several parallels with Woods in his journey to professional golf.

Like Woods, Vilips demonstrated early promise as a junior golfer, winning the Junior Worlds at age 10. He relocated to the United States at 11 and later attended Stanford University, following in Woods' footsteps. Vilips earned his PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour, where he won the Utah Championship and claimed Rookie of the Year honors, finishing 19th in the standings.

Woods expressed confidence in Vilips, citing his consistent success and work ethic as key factors in selecting him as the brand's ambassador. "Karl's journey has been marked by success at every level he's played," Woods stated, predicting Vilips will make a significant impact on the PGA Tour.

Vilips, who has been sidelined with an injury, will make his PGA Tour season debut at the 2025 Mexico Open at VidantaWorld wearing Sun Day Red apparel. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the brand, noting Woods' influence on his career and the unique advantage of having Woods' direct input in the brand's development.

"Tiger Woods was my idol growing up, and knowing that he drives the insights and meticulousness behind Sun Day Red's apparel and footwear gives us a unique edge that no other company can match," Vilips said, expressing pride in being the brand's first official ambassador.
