Following his clutch birdie at the 18th hole on Sea Island's Seaside Course, McNealy's wife Maya Daniels immediately connected him with his parents via phone, fulfilling a pre-planned celebration. The family shared a touching moment, albeit mostly "making fun of Mom because she was crying," as McNealy joked.

Perhaps the most heartwarming aspect of McNealy's victory revolves around his relationship with his grandmother, his self-proclaimed "biggest fan." Throughout his career, McNealy has maintained a special tradition: sending his grandmother flowers for every $50,000 earned and adding chocolates for top-10 finishes.

McNealy playfully revealed his grandmother's influence on his success, stating, "If I forget to send her flowers, weird things happen. Food poisoning, clubs snap, balls crack, it's the weirdest stuff ever." He acknowledges that this milestone victory will require "something a little extra special" for his grandmother.

The victory holds particular significance as McNealy's grandmother is deeply invested in his career, to the point where she refuses to speak with anyone while watching him play. Her devotion to following his tournaments "gives her something to look forward to" and provides "bragging rights around the retirement home."

This win not only marks McNealy's breakthrough on the PGA Tour but also strengthens the bonds of a family tradition that has supported his journey from the Korn Ferry Tour to his first PGA Tour victory.
