Shane Lowry has been testing numerous drivers ahead of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, admitting he's unsure which exact Srixon model he used in Thursday's first round at Bay Hill.

The Irish golfer revealed he tested approximately 15 drivers on the practice range Tuesday, highlighting his recent struggles off the tee. Based on photos from Bay Hill, Lowry appears to be using the Srixon ZXi LS, one of 2025's top-rated drivers.

Despite his driving uncertainty, Lowry posted an impressive three-under 69 in round one, placing him T2. His performance statistics show:

  • Strokes lost off the tee
  • 40th in driving distance
  • T43 in driving accuracy
  • Leading the field in approach play (+4.134 strokes gained)
  • 10th in putting (+2.284 strokes gained)

"I've been tinkering a little bit with drivers," Lowry explained. "I think there's something wrong with the driver I was using last week. I used something different on Sunday and something different again today."

Lowry remains optimistic about his equipment choice, noting he hit some quality drives toward the end of his round. His current focus is building trust with the driver, particularly on challenging holes like the 18th.

Between TGL commitments and charity events, Lowry's schedule has been hectic. However, he maintains a positive outlook: "That's my job, so it could be worse, I could be doing worse things."
