Ludvig Aberg led The Bay GC to a dominant 9-2 victory over New York GC in the inaugural TGL match at the SoFi Center in Florida. The event marked the debut of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's new indoor golf league.

The Bay GC team, consisting of Aberg, Shane Lowry, and Wyndham Clark, established an early 6-1 lead in the 3v3 foursomes against Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Rickie Fowler. Aberg showcased his skills by sinking a 32-foot putt and a crucial 10-footer on the first hole.

The match featured several innovative elements, including:

  • 40-second shot clocks
  • Mic'd-up players
  • 1,500 fans in attendance
  • "The Hammer" feature that doubles points on selected holes

Wyndham Clark noted the dramatic turnaround from their practice session, where New York GC had dominated. Aberg praised the format, saying, "I think it's the future of golf... The energy is different from a regular golf tournament."
