Nearly a year after joining LIV Golf, Hatton has achieved significant success, finishing fourth in the LIV Golf individual standings and winning their Nashville event. He's also maintained strong performance on the DP World Tour, securing his third Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and recently winning the Dubai Desert Classic.

Reflecting on his decision to join LIV Golf, Hatton acknowledged the difficulty of the choice: "Making that decision to move over to LIV was really difficult and one that I didn't take lightly." He emphasized his commitment to transparency, having consulted with relevant parties about his intentions to continue participating in DP World Tour events.

Despite the ongoing appeal process that could affect his Ryder Cup eligibility, Hatton expressed his desire to maintain his connection with the DP World Tour: "I love playing on the DP World Tour, and although I have moved over to LIV, I have still shown the commitment that I want to play. Whatever happens with the appeal process, I hope that I will still be able to continue to support this Tour."

Currently, Hatton holds one of six automatic qualification places for the Ryder Cup. He looks forward to potentially competing at Bethpage Black, acknowledging the challenge of facing passionate New York crowds while hoping for European fan support, unlike his previous US Ryder Cup experience at Whistling Straits during Covid restrictions.
