Clanton impressed with rounds of 67 and 66 to finish T10, comfortably clearing the cut line by five shots. The achievement follows near misses in 2024, including runner-up finishes at the John Deere Classic and RSM Classic, along with a close call at the WM Phoenix Open.

The 21-year-old celebrated the emotional moment with his family at PGA National, his home state course in Florida. This accomplishment makes him only the second player after Gordon Sargent to earn a Tour card through the PGA Tour University Accelerated program.

Following this achievement, Clanton will be eligible for open, full-field PGA Tour events after completing his junior collegiate season this spring. The recent Nike Golf signee expressed his excitement about starting his professional journey while maintaining his focus on winning a national championship with his college team first.

"From the missed cuts to playing well to everything being out here, it's amazing," Clanton said. "To finally get it done is definitely a little bit of ease for sure."
