World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has provided an update on his recovery following hand surgery, indicating his return to competitive golf is progressing well.

The injury occurred on Christmas Day when Scheffler sustained a puncture wound from broken glass while preparing ravioli, requiring surgery to remove glass fragments from his palm.

"Everything went well with the surgery," Scheffler confirmed via video conference. "Body feels pretty good, still making decisions on schedule going forward." He added that a decision about his participation in the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am would be made within the next week.

The injury forced Scheffler to miss The Sentry and The American Express, the opening events of the 2025 season. This came after an exceptional 2024 where he claimed nine titles, including the Masters and an Olympic gold medal, while earning over $65 million in prize money.

If Scheffler doesn't return for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am starting January 30th, he may target the WM Phoenix Open for his comeback—a tournament he won in both 2022 and 2023.
