Former world No. 6 Anthony Kim has jumped 2,281 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings after making his first cut in 12 years at the Asian Tour International Series event in Qatar. Kim finished T37th with a final-round 71, earning 0.36805 OWGR points.

This marks Kim's first OWGR points since the 2012 Honda Classic, where he finished T42. The 39-year-old will move from 4,595th to 2,314th in the rankings when they update on Monday.

Kim's competitive return began in March 2024 after an 11-year absence from professional golf. He joined LIV Golf as a Wildcard player on a reported one-year contract, competing in 11 events with his best finish being 36th at LIV Golf Greenbrier. However, LIV Golf events do not award OWGR points.

While his current ranking remains far from his career-best of No. 6 achieved in 2008, this jump represents one of the largest in OWGR history. For context, Nick Dunlap holds the record for the biggest ranking improvement, climbing over 4,000 spots after winning on the PGA Tour as an amateur earlier this year.

The six-time PGA Tour winner's Qatar performance marks his first ranking improvement since 2011, his last full season on the PGA Tour. His only other OWGR-eligible start this season was at the International Series Macau in March, where he missed the cut.
