Ex-LIV Golfer Chacarra Leads International Series India While DeChambeau Makes Eventful Debut
Former LIV Golfer Eugenio Chacarra leads the International Series India after shooting a four-under 68 in the first round at DLF GC. The 24-year-old Spaniard recovered impressively from an early triple-bogey to share the lead with Japan's Kazuki Higa, who was also four-under through 15 holes when play was suspended due to darkness.

Chacarra, who was recently dropped from LIV Golf's Fireballs GC team, showcased his resilience by bouncing back with four birdies and an eagle for a six-under 30 on his back nine. The 2023 St Andrews Bay Championship winner is now competing on the Asian Tour with aspirations of earning a PGA Tour card.
Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau made an eventful debut in India, sitting at two-under par through 16 holes of his opening round. The highlight of his round came at the par-5 eighth hole, where he produced a spectacular 230-yard bunker shot over water to set up an eagle.

DeChambeau, the Crushers GC captain and main attraction this week, mixed four birdies and four bogeys with his eagle before play was suspended. He will complete his first round on Friday morning before beginning his second round.
The tournament marks DeChambeau's first appearance in India and has generated significant interest among local golf fans. Play will resume early Friday morning with both leaders looking to maintain their position at the top of the leaderboard.
