LIV Golf CEO Plans LPGA Tour Talks To Explore Women's Golf Partnership
LIV Golf is exploring potential involvement in women's golf, with newly appointed CEO Scott O'Neil set to meet with interim LPGA commissioner Liz Moore in Miami. O'Neil aims to discuss how LIV Golf might contribute to the women's game, leveraging lessons learned from their men's circuit.
This development follows previous interactions between the two organizations. In 2022, former LPGA commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan expressed openness to discussions with LIV Golf, emphasizing the need to consider various factors including player and sponsor input.

O'Neil, who replaced Greg Norman as CEO in January, told Australian Golf Digest: "We'd like to take all the good that we've learned and put that into practice if the women's game is one that we enter."
Earlier attempts at collaboration were made before LIV Golf's launch, with Greg Norman claiming that LIV's investment offers to both the LET and LPGA Tour were declined. With new leadership in place at both organizations, fresh discussions could lead to potential collaboration in women's professional golf.
Speaking from LIV Golf Adelaide, O'Neil also expressed interest in increasing LIV players' participation in the Australian Open, focusing on timing and field strength to develop the next generation of golf fans.
