LPGA Heads to Utah: $3 Million Prize Purse at 2025 Black Desert Championship

The Black Desert Championship marks the LPGA Tour's return to Utah after nearly 60 years, featuring a $3 million prize purse at the Black Desert Resort. The winner will earn $450,000, with the runner-up receiving $282,976.

Following her Chevron Championship victory, Mao Saigo leads a strong field including fellow playoff competitors Ruoning Yin, Lindy Duncan, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Hyo Joo Kim. Yin enters as the highest-ranked player at World No. 4.

The tournament features multiple Major champions including Ayaka Furue, Celine Boutier, Lilia Vu, Brooke Henderson, and Yuka Saso. Charley Hull seeks redemption after missing the cut at the Chevron Championship.

The Black Desert Resort, which opened in 2023, hosts both the LPGA and PGA Tour events. The course features a front nine opened in November 2022 and a back nine completed in May 2023, quickly establishing itself as one of Utah's premier venues.
