The 25-year-old Swedish pro made a friendly wager with his caddie Joe Skovron to achieve seven hole-outs between the start of the 2025 season and the RBC Heritage in April. After holing a bunker shot for eagle on Torrey's 18th hole in round two, Aberg followed it up with a spectacular hole-in-one on the par-3 3rd hole during Saturday's third round.

Using a pitching wedge from 115 meters, Aberg landed the ball just beyond the cup and spun it back for his maiden ace in tournament play. The shot marked his fifth hole-out of the season, bringing him closer to winning the bet against Skovron.

"I like my chances," said Aberg, who now needs just two more hole-outs to win the undisclosed wager. The timing couldn't be better, as he sits within striking distance of the lead heading into Sunday's final round, where the winner will take home $4 million from the tournament's $20 million purse.
