NCAA Champion Adela Cernousek Makes Pro Golf Leap Ahead of LPGA Q-Series
NCAA champion Adela Cernousek is turning professional and will compete in the final stage of LPGA Tour Q-Series. The French golfer, who won the individual title at Texas A&M in May's NCAA Division I Championship, made the announcement via Instagram after initially planning to return to college.

During her college career, Cernousek set multiple records including:
- Lowest scoring average in school history (69.94)
- First woman to average under 71
- 3-shot victory in NCAA Division I Championship over Lottie Woad
Her decision to turn professional came before the November 15 deadline to secure her spot in the LPGA Tour Q-Series final stage. This move aligns with two other college players, UCLA's Zoe Campos and Mississippi State's Julia Lopez Ramirez, who also turned professional ahead of the deadline.
These transitions come as the LPGA prepares to launch a women's version of PGA Tour University, designed to create clearer pathways for amateur and college golfers entering professional golf.
Two other Q-Series qualifiers, Western Kentucky's Catie Craig and UCLA's Caroline Canales, will maintain their amateur status but can compete on the developmental Epson Tour in 2025.
