The new Ping G440 range represents significant technological advancements focused on improved performance through weight reduction and optimized CG placement. The family includes three drivers, three fairway woods, and one hybrid model, all featuring innovative design elements.

The key technology centers around achieving the lowest center of gravity (CG) in any Ping driver to date through:

  • Shallower face design
  • Lightweight carbon crown
  • New Free Hosel design
  • Optimized face structure for increased ball speeds

Three driver models cater to different player needs:

  • G440 Max (460cc): Most forgiving with 29g adjustable back weight
  • G440 LST (450cc): Lower spin model with Carbonfly wrap technology
  • G440 SFT: Draw-bias model with 23g adjustable weight for slice correction

The fairway woods feature:

  • Redesigned face structure
  • Optimized CG location
  • Contoured sole shape
  • Slimmer back weight profile

Each G440 hybrid loft is engineered for specific flight characteristics:

  • 2-hybrid: Slight fade bias for tee shots
  • 5-7 hybrid: Draw-inducing for optimal gapping

The G440 iron introduces:

  • New PurFlex cavity badge for enhanced feel
  • Lower face height for cleaner look
  • Modified length in long irons
  • Refined wedge offerings

The range has already seen Tour success, with Joaquin Niemann winning the Saudi International using the G440 LST driver. Other notable players like Viktor Hovland, Sahith Theegala, and Corey Conners have also adopted the new equipment.
