Richard Bland achieved a remarkable albatross during the second round of LIV Golf Mexico City, holing his second shot on the 575-yard par-5 16th hole at Club de Golf Chapultepec.

The shot sequence unfolded perfectly - a 318-yard drive found the fairway, leaving 253 yards to the pin. His second shot bounced onto the green and curved dramatically before dropping in the hole, leading to jubilant celebrations with playing partner Mito Pereira.

This marks the second albatross in LIV Golf history, following Brendan Steele's achievement at LIV Golf Greenbrier in August on the 615-yard 17th hole.

The feat adds to Bland's impressive recent achievements in Mexico, where he made LIV Golf's fifth hole-in-one at Mayakoba's El Camaleon Golf Club earlier this year. The 52-year-old Englishman has been in exceptional form, having won two senior Majors in 2024 - the Senior PGA Championship and Senior US Open.
