Riviera Fire Crisis Forces Genesis Invitational PGA Tour to Find New Venue in Los Angeles
The Genesis Invitational will relocate from its traditional home at Riviera Country Club due to recent devastating fires in Los Angeles. The tournament, scheduled for February 10-16, will maintain its original dates but at a new venue to be announced soon.
Riviera Country Club, located in Pacific Palisades, has hosted the tournament for 26 consecutive years. The historic venue fell within a mandatory evacuation zone as the Palisades Fire approached within hundreds of yards of the course. While the course itself was spared, safety concerns necessitated the relocation.

Tournament host Tiger Woods addressed the situation, expressing concern for affected residents: "It's just sad. I've known a couple people that have lost everything. As of right now, we're not really focused on the tournament. It's more about what we can do to help everyone who's struggling, who's lost homes and had their lives changed."
The Tiger Woods Foundation, which manages the event, will continue its charitable efforts to support those affected by the fires. The new tournament location will be announced in the coming days.
