Tour Pro's Unique Strategy: Carrying Both Left and Right-Handed Putters at Australian Women's Classic
Professional golfer Marianne Skarpnord has adopted an unusual putting strategy at the Australian Women's Classic by carrying both a right-handed and left-handed putter in her bag. This unique approach stems from her struggle with the yips when using a right-handed putter.
"I had the worst yip you could ever imagine with a right-handed putter," Skarpnord explained. She switched to a left-handed putter about 18 months ago but found issues with distance control and aim. Her solution: using the right-handed putter for long putts and the left-handed putter for short putts.

The five-time Ladies European Tour winner is currently tied for 39th place in the tournament after 312 LET appearances. Australian Sarah Kemp leads the event by two strokes, marking a remarkable comeback after recovering from a severe leg injury sustained in a golf cart accident seven months ago.
This creative putting solution demonstrates how professional golfers can adapt their techniques to overcome challenges and maintain competitive performance on tour.
