Justin Thomas returns to the Sentry tournament at Kapalua with renewed determination after missing last year's event. Following his first winless season in a decade, Thomas qualified for this year's tournament by finishing in the top 50 of the FedEx Cup standings.

Thomas's recent performance has put him on the bubble for team events - he made the 2023 Ryder Cup team but missed the 2024 Presidents Cup selection. This experience has fueled a new competitive mindset for 2025.

"I haven't had the opportunity to play pissed off for awhile, so I'm pretty excited to play a little pissed off this year," Thomas said. While accepting captain Jim Furyk's decision to leave him off the Presidents Cup team, Thomas aims to prove himself through his performance this season.

His recent form shows promise, with a second-place finish at the Zozo Championship in October and third place at the Hero World Challenge in December. Thomas also welcomed his daughter, Molly Grace Thomas, in November.

Thomas begins his 2025 campaign alongside Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott, teeing off at 4:39 p.m. ET on Thursday. After two years without a win, he's eager to start fresh at Kapalua, stating, "There's no place I want to be starting my year more than Kapalua."

Coverage of The Sentry can be followed from 6-10 p.m. on Golf Channel.
