Zhang, who won in her LPGA Tour debut after an exceptional amateur career, made this announcement as The Bay GC maintained their undefeated status in the league. As a Stanford student-athlete and Californian native, Zhang sees this as an opportunity to give back to her community while pursuing her goal of becoming the world's top golfer.
"The Bay Area has become my home and community," Zhang stated. "This investment aligns with my goal to be the best golfer in the world while inspiring the next generation of players, especially youth golfers in California."

The 21-year-old aims to champion diversity in golf and expand access to the sport. Coming from a traditional Chinese household, Zhang believes TGL is effectively showcasing new aspects of golf by highlighting players' personalities and incorporating entertaining elements.
The Bay GC, featuring Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Aberg, Shane Lowry, and Min Woo Lee, currently leads the standings with three wins in three matches. Their victories include a 9-2 win against New York GC, a 5-4 victory over Boston Common GC, and a 6-5 triumph against Atlanta Drive GC.
Other notable investors in The Bay GC include CEO of Avenue Capital Group Marc Lasry and Olympic athletes Leonardo Fioravanti and Kanoa Igarashi.
