Richy Werenski completed an incredible seven-shot comeback to make the cut at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, culminating in a dramatic chip-in birdie during severe weather conditions.

Standing on the 17th tee during Friday's round, Werenski was seven shots outside the projected cut line at five-over-par. What followed was a remarkable turnaround in increasingly challenging conditions.

Over the next 11 holes, Werenski made six birdies, including four consecutive ones from the 17th through the second hole. His final shot - a chip-in birdie on the ninth hole - was executed in howling winds and sideways rain as daylight faded.

The clutch chip-in secured his spot for the weekend right on the cut number, completing one of the most impressive recent PGA Tour comebacks. Werenski maintained his momentum into Saturday, shooting a bogey-free 66 with six birdies to climb to T32 at eight-under-par heading into Sunday's final round.

His remarkable turnaround not only secured a weekend paycheck but positioned him for a potentially strong finish at Port Royal Golf Course.
