Emotional Q-School Triumph As Korn Ferry Pro Secures Tour Return, Shares Heartfelt Family Tribute
In a touching moment at the Korn Ferry Tour Q-School Second Stage, Marcelo Rozo secured a three-shot victory, earning back his tour status after losing it earlier this year when he finished 128th on the 2024 points list.

The 35-year-old Colombian, who once lost a playoff to Scottie Scheffler at the 2019 NV5 Invitational, shot an impressive 23-under to claim victory. Following his win, Rozo delivered an emotional interview, thanking his support system and revealing the financial struggles he faced.
"My wife is my rock. She is the rock of my house... my kid, I do it for them," Rozo said through tears. He disclosed that he had to work between First and Second Stages to afford Q-School, relying on help from friends to cover the entry fees.

The victory guarantees Rozo eight Korn Ferry Tour starts in 2025. Having recently earned his real estate license for supplemental income, he now has a chance at an even bigger prize: the Final Stage in mid-December offers five PGA Tour cards plus ties.
"It means the world that I have a place to go next year," Rozo reflected, adding that the win gives him confidence heading into the Final Stage. With 124 career Korn Ferry Tour starts under his belt, this victory marks a significant comeback for the veteran player.
